The 95th Annual Academy Awards aired live from Hollywood, Calif.’s Dolby Theatre on Sunday night (March 12).
Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on ABC, The Oscars was a night of historic firsts. Ruth E. Carter won her second statuette for Best Costume Design and became the first Black woman to win two Oscar awards. One-time nominee Jamie Lee Curtis beat out Angela Bassett for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, her first Academy Award win. Along with these Academy Awards accomplishments, Rihanna took the stage for a performance of her nominated track “Lift Me Up” and paid homage to the late great Chadwick Boseman.
However, before the star-studded night commenced, celebrities from some of the night’s most celebrated movies hit the “champagne carpet” in their eye-catching outfits.
